Harewood vows to prove his worth to Magpies
MARLON Harewood may have been given a torrid time on Tyneside but he would still love to extend his stay at Newcastle United as he vowed not to let his critics drive him out of the club.
Harewood was jeered off the pitch against Bristol City last month by United supporters following a lacklustre display and some might assume the 30-year-old would be happy to return to Aston Villa when his loan deal expires at the end of December.
But, rather than run away from his problems at St James' Park, Harewood has declared for the first time he intends to stand and fight them by working to rediscover the form which once made him one of the Championship's most feared front men.
