Alan Shearer gets Stoke match boost from Carroll
ALAN SHEARER has revealed Geordie boy Andy Carroll is giving him exactly what he wants ahead of Saturday's battle of Britannia.
The Newcastle United manager was in the stands last night at St James's Park to watch the big striker smash home two goals against Manchester City Reserves and put himself in contention for the trip to Stoke City.
Carroll's physical presence could prove to be a real asset against the Potters, who have quickly picked up a reputation as one of the most uncompromising sides in the Premier League.
