Shola Ameobi signs new Newcastle United deal
SHOLA AMEOBI has committed his future to Newcastle United until 2012.
And today Ameobi has vowed to repay the faith shown in him by Joe Kinnear.
The Nigerian-born striker has extended his current deal, which was due to expire in June, for three years to bolster Kinnear's squad.
It all represents a major turnaround for Ameobi after Kevin Keegan was ready to let the Academy product leave Tyneside last summer.

What a disgrace i am gobsmacked one of the worst players to wear the jersey no pride in it at all. How many managers have given him a chance? how many times has he said thanks for showing faith in me and he has never done it!!! he must be close to testimonial time!!!! when we should be sorting out Shay(which i might add has been a star for us and we can not fault his grief at the situation at where the club is i only hope he looks at the fans and understands we are in the same boat as him ) it shows our ambition when we are giving contracts out like that if ever there was a reason for cancelling that season ticket!!!!! but i wont because the club means so much to me.
