NUFC target Lucas Neill and Bafetimbi Gomis
NEWCASTLE United have turned to experienced Aussie international right-back Lucas Neill in order to bolster their injury-ravaged squad.
The Chronicle understands that Neill has emerged as one of United's main targets in the January transfer window with the black- and-whites in dire need of a boost with the treatment room fit to burst.
The Magpies have also lodged bids for midfielder Stephane Mbia and St Etienne's French international striker Bafetimbi Gomis, after Mike Ashley released transfer funds following a plea from Toon boss Joe Kinnear.
