Keeping Steve Harper is Kinnear's big priority
JOE KINNEAR has revealed that keeping Steve Harper at St James's Park is high on his list of priorities as Newcastle United boss.
The experienced Harper told the Chronicle on November 26 that he had heard nothing about a new contract.
But the goalkeeper is in good company, with Michael Owen, Nicky Butt, Mark Viduka and several others also free to discuss new deals in January under the terms of the Bosman ruling.
