It Could Be A Long Four Months

QUITE what Kevin Keegan is expected to do if a couple of his defenders pick up an injury is anyone's guess, but the brutal truth is Newcastle's squad has a flimsy feel to it following the close of the transfer window.

The double signing of Uruguay international midfielder Ignacio Gonzalez and Spanish Under-21 international striker Xisco were welcome additions to the squad on deadline day, but they probably weren't enough to satisfy expectant supporters who were looking to be inspired by the new arrivals, not trawling the internet trying to discover who they are.

Quite where the "wow" signing owner Mike Ashley promised last month went is another mystery, but at least the billionaire can down a pint right lads and lasses!? Middle aged man in replica shirt downing warm, over-priced beer, it's enough to give football fans a bad name!

Suprised? no. Disappointed? yes.
im just glad the deadline has passed and we dont have to put up with any more speculation for a while. Newcastle united have to be the unluckiest club on the planet.. Chelsea get billionare owner ..he spends bucket loads ....man city get one ...he spends bucket loads then when he cant spend any more he sells to another load of billionaires who buy them robinho....if you ever read this Mike!..robinho 32m is a WOW signing...Newcastle gets its billionare owner and hes a bigger penny pinching tosspot than Eugine Krabs..i mean i bet he has his first penny safely tucked away somewhere....lol am i the only one who feels a little cheated here..when is the "fun" going to begin....come december i'll be saying what ive said the last 5 years...." there's always next year" .... it was always going to be hard to get good players to come because of the last couple of years and our reduction in stature...but we havent been helped by the ashley one bit...i could rant all night about this...its so hard to write about Mike Ashley and not swear....and i better not get started about Dennis wise and his cronies....i mean is there something about the set up at newcastle that im missing here...because something just doesnt make a whole lot of sense....we didnt even use the milner money to buy anyone???? if we dont need to sell to buy...then why since Ashley being owner have Newcastle recieved more in transfer fees then they have spent....nope i still dont get it....my head hurts..i gotta go to bed

this season is going to be a joke if we cant shake our ongoing injury nightmares.

Keegan does have a knack of bringing the best out of people so i cound be surprised but i doubt it!

I think we may be at risk of losing Owen in the winter if our performances are not up to scratch.

Nice to see money from milners transfer being spent wisely or not as it seems. It wouldnd surprise me if it is used to pay for pints all round in our next home game.

where is the logic in not investing in bolstering our defense after taking an absolute pasting on saturday, Arsenal shown us exactly how far behind the top 4 we really are.
if it werent for Shay it could of been a hell of a lot worse.

Oh and what the HELL does dennis wise do for the club?????????
